Don’t Waste Your Optical Rebate

Don’t risk missing out on the benefits of your Health Insurance before it resets this July.

If you have private health insurance, you can receive optical health rebates when purchasing prescription eyewear or contact lenses.

AHM, Defence Health, Onemedifund, Navy Health and Peoplecare private health funds are due to reset on July 1, so if you are with one of these providers make the most of your eligible rebate with a purchase in-store before this date.

Optometrist David Shanahan says optical health rebates provide a good opportunity for clients to diversify the way they see the world.

“There are so many options when it comes to eye care, whether it be prescription sunglasses, contact lenses or spectacle lenses, these purchases can all receive rebates,” he says.

“These items aren’t cheap so this is a great chance to make these purchases more affordable.”
