Don’t Let Your Optical Rebates Reset Before 2026

By

It’s the holidays again! 2025 has flown by, and as December rolls around, here is your friendly reminder to use your Optical Health Fund Rebate before it resets in 2026. Don’t let the year wrap up without using the rebates you’ve been paying for all year.

If you have extras cover, chances are you’re entitled to a rebate on prescription lenses or contact lenses right now. Once December 31 passes, most funds reset and anything unused is gone.

We see it every year. People realise in January that they could have updated their frames or lenses, all while claiming back a portion through their health fund. Instead, they’re starting again in the new year from zero.

You can utilise your rebate for new glasses, updating your prescription lenses, replacing scratched or outdated lenses, or ordering contact lenses for the months ahead. If your prescription has changed, or your lenses are no longer giving you the clarity you once had, this is the ideal time to act.

If you’re unsure what you have left to claim, ask. Our team can help you work it out and make sure you’re using what you’re entitled to before the year ends.

You’ve already paid for the cover, so make sure you actually benefit from it. If you have any questions, one of our friendly team members will be happy to help.
