Aviation Eye Exam
David is certified by The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) to carry out Aviation Eye Examinations for civil air crew and air traffic controllers. We will also lodge the results directly to CASA on your behalf.
Before embarking on a journey to become a pilot or air traffic controller, it is important to have your eyes tested. Colour blindness can affect a person’s ability to work within the aviation industry. It is not uncommon for someone with colour blindness to be unaware of it. The standards for visual function are strict and colour vision is not exempt from them.
We are able to provide supplementary testing in the event the initial colour vision screening test is failed. David is one of three examiners in WA qualified to conduct Farnsworth Lantern testing.
